In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Oh bless the Lord O my soul and all that is with in me; bless His holy name. What a wonderful time we shared in the Lord while in his presence in Morning Glory worship.
There is something about meeting with the Lord in the morning… That Morning Glory is awesome! If you are not doing anything on Sunday mornings you should come on over to “the Glory!” Meet us for Morning Glory at 10:30 am (Hugo Owens Middle School). The spirit of the Lord is in the place. Our Awesome Executive Pastor Annie Jackson brought forth a powerful word on Sunday, July 11, 2010. Entitled: “Strong Man… You’ve Got to Go!” The scripture text; Psalm 62:5-6. Pastor Annie spoke with authority and power as she gave explicit instruction how to be delivered and set free from the enemy.
Here are your highlights:

The Strong man is that which has you captive. It has you down and unable to do what you have to do for God. There are several, but this one is one that exists among us and the word of God is strategically sent to the strong man in this house today.

How many of you during your life have experienced feeling down emotionally?
Psalm 62:5 says my soul waits patiently for the Lord; my expectation is from him. The expectation is hope. David said my expectation; my hope, my faith, is in God alone. He is my rock he is my defense.

What the Strong man does:
Everything that the enemy tries to do to you puts you down. He wants to give you down moments and down thoughts. He brings depression. Think about it; you drop your head. When you are down you walk with your head down. You feel low in your spirit.

Everything about God is up. God brings you up and lifts you up. We must be ready to fight. Jesus came to give us righteousness which means we are up.

What is the strong man today: The strong man of today is depression.
Many people today suffer from depression and oppression. How many people do you know who are depressed or on some kind of medication because of it? The church is the hospital. Jesus said “The whole (well) need not a physician only the sick” Matt 9:12.
Depress means to press down to a low position, to deject or bring low in spirit. Condemnation brings depression. We must resist the enemy-. James 4:7 says Submit yourselves therefore unto God. Resist the devil and he will flee. Psalm 3:3 says But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. According to the scripture; He has lifted us. His love lifts us out of condemnation.

How to get rid of the strong man… The Antidote:

• Joy is the antidote for depression- Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Phil 4:4 if you stay tied to the right thing; then the wrong thing has no place. When you begin to praise God with a song or just open your mouth and sing praises to God it will bring joy. You cannot smile and frown at the same time.

• Joy is our strength- Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

• Joy replaces sorrow- Psalm 30:5 weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. When you wake up in the morning and the enemy brings negative thoughts or negative suggestions to you. You have a choice. Repeat these words to the devil “I will not be depressed, because my expectation is in the Lord. He is my defense. I shall not be moved!” Put your anointed music on and tell the enemy you shall not be moved.

• Choose praise over heaviness-Isaiah 61:3 tells us that God has given us the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. We must choose praise. Choose the garment when we get up. Just like we select our clothes to put on in the morning, we have to choose the garment of praise in our life. Choose liberty instead of bondage, choose peace instead of torment.

What ever the strong man is in your life, you don’t have to be defeated. Today you can stand up and put your garment of praise on and tell that Strong man “You’ve Got To Go!”

It’s Not Your Fight

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Current Mood:Faith-driven emoticon Faith-driven

I called on the Lord and he heard me and delivered me out of all my fears! Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not to thy own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths! It is a privilege and an honor to be on the Lord’s side. I thank God for his goodness and his mercy for everyday new mercies I see. Go ahead throw up your hands and give him praise…. I know you want to; I can feel it. It is my honor and a delight to bring to you the Sunday highlights from Shekinah Glory Outreach Ministry International’s Sunday service on July 4, 2010. INDEPENDENCE DAY! Are you free today? The scripture says “Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty!” There is Independence and freedom. We had a wonderful time celebrating our freedom on July 4th. The message entitled “It’s Not Your Fight” was delivered by none other than our awesome consecrated senior Pastor, Bishop A. Ray Rouson. Here are your highlights:

It’s Not Your Fight!
“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you”. II Chronicles 20:17
The read text – II Chronicles 20:17-25; entire text – II Chronicles 20:1-25

Each of us is engaged in continuous warfare with the enemy of our souls. Though the devil could not and cannot destroy you; he will indeed settle on distracting you! His attack is personal; but his motivation is not! He hates the God who expelled him from heaven and made a showing of him openly on the cross the warfare is older than the garden of Eden; and as fresh as tomorrow.
I. The intensity of the enemy indicates the responsibility of the almighty!
The verse listed was on an occasion where the king of Judah found himself and his people surrounded by three enemy armies. There could be no doubt that the ensuing battle would be fatal for the people of God! The word “Judah means “praise”. On this day the king of praise had no praise! The king was griped in fear! After getting himself together; King Jehoshaphat sought a directive from God. He realized that God was present, aware and able!
II. Destiny is sometimes housed in obscurity! The King expected God to respond through him; at least through a priest or prophet. Then the king could maintain his image before the people. God does not care about our image; only our victory! God used a man who was so obscure and insignificant; that several generations of his family are listed, just so it could be known who he was. Be careful how you treat and judge people! You do not know who God will send your answer through! Never be hung up on the container. Your concern should be the content.
II. A simple melody could be the key to your victory! The king made his army go to the back of the line. He picked singers (praisers) to lead them into battle. Your victory is in the praise! They sang a simple song: “Praise the Lord for His mercy endures forever!” Their praise caused angelic activity (so does yours). The angels caused their enemy to destroy each other. Whey spent three days removing the spoils of their enemy; including the jewelry from their fingers. You too, should want all that God has intended for you!
They were completely victorious without using a sword or spear; only a song. That is because the battle was not theirs; it was the Lord’s! The same is true of the warfare that you are facing right now. Go on and get your praise on! God has got this one! It’s not your fight!

The Battle Belongs to the Lord
“You will not need to fight this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and
Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” Chronicles 20:17

When your burdens get heavy as they sometimes do or in your struggle you
become weary and can’t make it through,
When your enemies attack with out warning tempting you to reach for a natural sword,
Remember the battle is not yours; it belongs to the Lord…
Do not be afraid or discouraged for your help is on the way,
Look to the Lord and begin to pray…
Talk to Him about your troubles, allow Him to guide
your foot steps and give you the strength to Stand firm;
permit Him to lead you to victory by instructing your every turn…
The Lord will be with you and you shall receive a just reward;
Don’t try to fight this battle; this one belongs
to the Lord…
It’s through our test and trials that we are made strong,
and the temptation to fight by instinct can sometime steer us wrong…
Trust God and Let go; for this account He will record;
Every battle does not belong to us… some
“battles belong to the Lord!”

“But If Not”

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Current Mood:Delivered emoticon Delivered & Faith-driven emoticon Faith-driven

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice ye righteous: and shout for joy all ye that are upright in heart! Praise the Lord everybody! I am so delighted to bring to you the Sunday Highlights from June 27, 2010. The message “But If Not” The messenger our very own Consecrated anointed senior Pastor, Bishop A. Ray Rouson. It was a glorious day in the Lord as we stepped into our new location (Hugo Owens Middle School) giving thanks unto God for the great things he has done. If you have not given him a praise today, why don’t you just take a praise break right now…. HALLELUJAH! The message was wonderful and very inspirational as our Bishop A. Ray stood with honor and letting us know that God will never leave us nor forsake us and when we are tempted by the enemy God is right there with you in the fire. The text was Daniel 3:17-18.
Here are you Sunday Highlights:

The enemy of our soul is desperate to find something to hurt us with. Satan is like a bad boyfriend that won’t go away. He constantly tries to get us to back away from our faith. He actually believes that if there is enough pressure or problems that we will give up on God. God does not love us because of what we do or do not do; God loves us because we are his. We have His DNA and He’s crazy about us. Scripture says in I John 3:2 that it has not yet appeared what we shall be; but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. The enemy wants us to give up on our faith, throw in the towel because he knows what you shall be.
The three Hebrew boys were in captivity but no where in the scripture were there parents mentioned. We see the parents by what the boys say and how they respond in this situation. They were teenagers bragging on God. They learned of God from somewhere. Something was instilled in them and then they testified of it. The test is based on what God has done; a testimony is basted on what God will do.

Three Important Points:

• Point one-The faith of the three Hebrew boys was God’s answer to the enemy’s threat. Nebuchadnezzar called everyone together’; it was a sea of people and when the music started it was like a wave the people began to bow down, everyone except the three young teenagers the Hebrew boys. Then king Nebuchadnezzar called them up and threatened them. They stood up to the king and he asked “who is this God who can deliver you?” There faith was the answer to the threat. Listen, the people around you know your life, they know that you do not take mess or get into mess. They know what we live and because of the way that we live, we are an embarrassment to Hell and the devil. Your faithfulness is the answer to the enemy. Who is the God who can deliver you? Tell someone that He is able! The devil dresses the situation to try to get you to do what he wants you to do. But your faith is the answer to the threat.

• Point two – Your faith on display gives God the platform for miracles – “according to your faith; so be it unto you”. Because these young men stood on their faith in God; God stood up for them! Their circumstances were real. The fire of the furnace was real. The cremation of those who threw them in was real. It was the perfect opportunity and situation for God to prove himself! Having a faith in God that is non-negotiable; brings a response from God that is miraculous!

• Point three – Your faith provokes the revealed presence of Christ – Jesus was with these boys all of the time; just as He is with us all of the time! He promised never to leave or forsake us. Our Lord desires to make sure that OUR ENEMIES know that He is with us! The faith of those boys provoked the revealed (or Shekinah) glory of Jesus. Jesus will prepare a table of blessing for us in the very presence of our enemies. That wicked, heathen King; not only saw Jesus, but understood who He was! God got the glory out of that whole situation; because those boys trusted in what God was ALBLE to do. What about you? Hell knows that you will be faithful to God; if all things go your way. The devil knows that your faith is unstoppable; if God does what you want. Why not use your faith to show earth, heaven and hell the type of faith you have But If Not!

Is There A Man In The House?

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised! God is an awesome God who is worthy to be praised. I’ve searched all over and I can’t find no body greater, no body greater than Jesus! Can I get a amen! It is my honor and privilege to come before you today to bring you the highlights for Father’s day, Sunday, June 20, 2010.

Our Executive Pastor James Edwards brought forth a powerful and anointed word to the house not only for fathers but for all who were there. His message was entitled “Is There a Man In The House?” His text was from Malachi 4: 5-6 and Gen 22: 6-13.
Here are your Highlights:
We are living in a day and time when men are not valued like they use to be; they are dishonored. We may have heard the familiar phrase many times “I don’t need a man” and
“God is my husband”. Isaiah 4:1 said that the day will come when there will be 7 women to 1 man. Men have been dishonored more and more in the process of time. It’s just hard to find a good man these days. Many women have decided that they can live without one and devote their lives to God to help provide and raise their children. The dishonor of man started with Pharaoh. In Genesis Pharaoh gave instructions for all the men to be killed when they were babies. If the enemy had his plans the men of God would be wiped out and destroyed. Today’s society does the same, we find our selves replacing the real man with other things. Instead of the son spending time with his father, he is playing video games. In place of a working man a woman is given a welfare check.
What is a man? I want to inform you that just because you can reproduce something doesn’t make you a man. What is below your belt does not make you a man. Society has come to a place where they are replaying real men with counterfeits and other stuff. Video games and T.V. has taken the place of quality time with children and welfare takes the place of the working man in the home. Mother’s are raising the kids alone and doing the best that they can, but we must come to the realization and know that only a man can raise a man.

The father (man) must deposit something into that child. He must give him identity. A deposit whether good or bad must be deposited from the father to the son. Back in the day no one would eat dinner until Daddy sat down to the table. He always got the biggest piece of chicken; we have substituted the family meal for fast food and substituted fatherhood for self and flesh. Malachi 4:5-6 says that before that great and dreadful day; meaning before things are manifested in the flesh it is manifested in the spiritual. First flesh, then the natural. Matt 17:11 says that Elijah will come and restore all things; but when you look at the world today it looks like it is destroyed not restored. Scripture says the spirit of Elijah will come first (it was John the Baptist) Revelation 11:3 speaks of two witnesses that will prophesy. Hebrew 9:27 says that it is appointed to man once to die. We heard the physical report of Elijah, now we are waiting on the natural report to come to pass.
According to Genesis; the father and son relationship will be developed the way God intended it to be. Genesis 12:1 Abram heard the voice of the Lord. Telling him to come out from his kindred. According to Genesis chapter 12 the Lord summoned Abraham to leave his native land and his father’s house, and set out for the land of Canaan. Abram family dwelled in Ur and Genesis chapter 11 claims that Terah who devised the move from Ur of the Chaldees via Haran to Canaan However, Terah did not manage to complete the journey as he died in Haran. Terah stayed and dwelt there, Terah Got stuck. There are people who may try to influence us to be like them and worship other Gods, but we must move away from those who hinder us. God will give us something to do and we must move when he says move.

In the text (Genesis 22) when Abraham was going to sacrifice his son, there is a Ram caught in the thicket. Stop looking for the ram in the bush. Keep your eyes on God and not on the things around you. God is trying to get us to a place where we have to let go of the idols in our life and serve him whole heartedly. He prepares the table for us. In Genesis 22:12 God spoke, lay not your hand upon the lad. The lad was a teen and he was very obedient to his father. He had to have faith his self, because there was no word of his struggle or tying to get away from his father. He was going to be obedient unto death. I am so glad that mercy was holding the knife in my life and not judgment. If judgment was holding the knife what would happen to us? God has already prepared the things to get us back to him. It’s up to us to walk by faith and believe God. It’s up to us to trust him and do what he says. It’s up to us to let go of our idols, it’s up to us to be obedient and sacrifice what he has required of us. Is there someone out there who is responsible enough to stand up and live for God? Is there anyone out there who is strong enough to trust God? Is there anyone out there who is sensitive enough to hear God’s voice? Is there a real man in the house? If so, stand up and take your place!

Before You Go, You FIRST Got to Leave!

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Current Mood:Faith-driven emoticon Faith-driven & Blessed emoticon Blessed

When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all He’s done for me; my soul cries out HALLELUJAH! I praise God for saving me. Isn’t it a great thing to be saved? To know your Lord and savior on a personal level… is the most amazing relationship you could ever have in your life. I’m sure I can speak for everyone when I say, “If it had not been for the Lord on our side we would be consumed”. Consumed and over whelmed by so many other things, thoughts and problems. I am so excited to be on the Lords side, where I can be loved and taught the word of God. This brings me to our Sunday worship service.

What a wonderful time we had in the house of the Lord on Sunday, June 13, 2010 as a newly ordained minister was birthed. Minister Naima Williams was nothing short of incredible as she stepped up to the podium and brought forth the word of God. It was a wonderful birth to experience. It was as if she had been preaching for years as the word of God poured from her soul. Her topic: “Before You Go, You Must First Leave” Genesis 12:1-4. It gives me great pleasure to give you the Shekinah Sunday Highlights:

Before You Go, You Must FIRST Leave!
Bishop Rouson preached a trilogy over the past three Sunday’s called Pursue, Overtake and Recover all. He was telling us that we must pursue what God has for us, over take the enemy and then we will recover all that God has for us. I am here to tell you today that before we can pursue what God has for us, before we can overtake the enemy and be for we can recover all… Before we go, we must first leave. We must leave our present status, leave or comfort zone and follow God. We must be willing to move when God says move just like Abraham. Let me give you a little background on Abraham…Abram was the descendent of Noah (10th generation) and grew up in a city named Ur of the Chaldeans, which was located approximately 100 miles southeast of Babylon. Now Ur of the Chaldeans was a city known for idol worship and their chief god was Sin, believed to be the god of the moon according to Mesopotamian mythology, as well as the god of gods and father of gods. The two places where Sin worship was extremely prominent (“chief seats”) were Ur of the Chaldeans (Abram’s native place) and Harran, which was also a place of significance. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:31 that Abram’s father, Terah, set out to leave Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan (later referred to as the Promised Land); however, Terah stopped midway his journey at a place called Harran (same place) and SETTLED there. The Bible doesn’t say why Abram’s father settled in Harran, but it does make it a point to mention that he “settled” (and later died) there.

He settled. Sometimes we set goals in education and personal goals and the longer it takes for them to come to pass, we begin to settle. I believe we’ve all done that at one time for one thing or the other….. Tell your neighbor” Don’t settle. From promise to promise fulfilled we have to work; it takes faith, obedience and trust. Whatever the blessing is; He has prepared it especially for you. Before you go; you must first leave. God told Abraham to leave his father’s house, his kindred. The city he was from was chief city of Idol worship and the chief god of sin. When God speaks of kindred he is speaking of the people around you…. There are times when you must move from the people around you, bad company promotes bad character. God needed to pull Abram out of this country so he could get a direct connection to him. We must renew our mind and separate ourselves in order to be used of God. Abram was chosen just as we were chosen, but we must have a willingness to move past what we think we know and move towards God.

God has given us a great destiny but we must realize that we have to work in order to receive the things of God. There is a place that we dwell in that we must leave from and it is called “The comfort zone” What is the comfort zone- A comfort zone is a type of mental conditioning that causes a person to create and operate mental boundaries. Such boundaries create an unfounded sense of security. We live in a society today when we are told to be comfortable. The name itself is deceiving. It makes you feel that everything in this zone is comfortable, but just because you are comfortable with it does not mean that it is of God. Let me give you a few examples:

1. An abused woman may be comfortable in her situation not wanting to leave because she loves her abuser or because she is afraid. When in reality he could kill her at any given moment. She could live a happy and successful life with someone who loves her but because of her fear she stays in what she thinks is her comfort zone.

2. A person stuck on a dead end job may be comfortable and afraid to move forward. But they are limited in what they can do, afraid to try new things. They limit their own success.

Scripture says if you suffer with me you will reign with me. The people of Ur worshiped the god Sin and that same god is being worshiped today. God is considered evil and evil is considered good Society is saying “do it” According to II Corinthians 4:4 the god of this age has blinded the mind of the believers. We have been blinded by many things in our lives and to be honest when most of us found Christ we were at the bottom of the barrel. We worked for freedom, we began to learn how to pray, and we suffered problems in our lives we ran to the church every time the doors opened. Then it starts, the “progression of egression” we begin to step back because we are comfortable. We begin to slow down on pursuing God. What we don’t realize, is that our comfort zone is a zone of false security. Serving God is not comfortable all the time. His word says that if any man comes after me, he must first deny himself, take up his cross and follow me. Denying self is not comfortable; taking up your cross is not comfortable. You cannot find God in your comfort zone. Humility, giving and loving your neighbor are things that are out of our comfort zone.

Inside the comfort zone: Inside the comfort zone are things that you do not need in your life like Self gratification, laziness, false security and doubt. These are things that stunt our growth. We do not need these things in our life if we want to be blessed.

How do we get out of the comfort zone? To pursue, to overtake, and to recover is to OBEY. God wants to show us things that we know not of, but it requires us to get out of the comfort zone. We must obey his word and obey his voice. We must obey the people he put over us. Obey God! God said do it! He did not ask if you want to go… he said go! Everything you desire, every promise will out on the other side of the comfort zone. There are so many things we want to do and the level of comfort that he calls you out of is the level of blessing he will make you.

When you read the bible you will find that when God calls others to do something he calls them out of their comfort zone.

1. Jeremiah – said I am only a child, I can’t speak and God sent him to prophesy to kingdoms.
2. Gideon- Thought that he was the least of all who could not be used of God, but God used him in a mighty way. God had to trust him out of his comfort zone.
3. Esther-Although she was queen she was not exempt from being executed. No one was allowed to go before the King unannounced. She stepped out of her comfort zone, saying “If I perish I perish”
4. Peter- Peter got out of the boat. Most people look at the fact that he began to sink, but I like to look at the fact that he got out of the boat. He trusted God.
5. Jesus- had to come out of the comfort zone of royalty to come down here. He had to come out of the comfort zone of time and lived for 33 years. He did not get the crown in royalty; he received the crown on the cross. He came out of his comfort zone for us, now surely we can come out of our comfort zone or him.

In closing:
There are times when we suffer many things in this life; things that challenge us and make us chose comfort or not. We must remember that the things that God has for us does not come with out work or choice. We must choose this day whom we will serve. When I was in the corporate world it seemed that I had it all. I had a great house, a nice car and fancy clothes. I was the one that everyone would come to for help. But God had a plan for my life that required me to come out of my comfort zone. Before I knew it I had lost everything. And I was starting from scratch. I suffered many things this year that took me out of my comfort zone. I was determined not to give up. I had to fight against bitterness to make it. There were times when my friends were not around for comfort. I had to begin to seek God personally for my self. I had to come out of my comfort zone to receive the blessings he had for me. The spiritual blessing and then the natural blessing will follow. What ever you need today, you wont find it in the comfort zone. It’s on the other side. You must first leave; before you go… you must first leave what you are use to, leave the comfort of gossip, leave the comfort of back biting, abusing others, leave the comfort of false security, and false hope. Begin to trust God and allow him to take you places you’ve never dreamed you could go. Come out of your comfort zone. Because before you go; you must first leave!
